It's been a year.

I made this using Microsoft paint - 20 years ago.

OK, I lied, it hasn’t been a year since I quit my job to me a full time artist - that is coming up. It has been a year since I made the decision to leave, sitting on a park bench in Vancouver, right before my birthday party. Its the best decision I have ever made - but it has been a challenge.

I legit thought that I would be rich within like, 3 months. Wow. What a jackass I am. But, I also understood that I could be super wrong, and that a miserable failure at this mission would still push me and my art much further down the line. I’ve been working on so much recently, and found traction with a lot of work that interests me. I’ve had people reaching out for collabs - weird. But, most importantly, I have drawn - a lot - every day for 300 days. I drew a lot before, so you can imagine how happy I am now.

My work has changed. I guess its just the process of constantly creating that makes you dig, find new things to make, and do something interesting with your hands. I am so grateful to still be here.
